Final broadcast tonight: Bart Logan, the Phantoms’ media relations coordinator for two-and-a-half seasons, will be broadcasting his final Phantoms’ game tonight on WBBW-AM 1240. On Monday, Ryan Schwepfinger will become the Phantoms’ media relations coordinator. Logan joined the franchise in September 2011 and called more 100 regular-season and playoff games. He’s moving back to his hometown of Columbus to work for Franklin County commissioner Paula Brooks and eventually enroll in law school. Schwepfinger joins the Phantoms after previous public relations experience with the New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, and MLS’ Philadelphia Union. He will by the play-by-play announcer for the Phantoms’ games home and away as well as serve as host for the team’s weekly radio show “Youngstown Phantoms: Behind the Glass,” which airs Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m.
Injuries: Defenseman Alex Carle and forward Alfred Larsson are on the injured list. Scratched from Friday’s lineup were goaltender Sean Romeo, defenseman Alex Smith and forward Josh Melnick. Early in the second period, forward Tyler Spezia was crunched into the boards and suffered an upper-body injury but returned before the period ended.
