Mahoning County Educational Service Center gets $300,000 grant

The Mahoning County Educational Service Center has received a grant of more than $300,000.
The Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation grant for fiscal year 2014 will provide home visits to any Mahoning County resident who is pregnant or has a child up to age 5.
“The staff conducting the home visits are trained in the Growing Great Kid’s curriculum and will be doing health and development screenings,” said Kim Johnson, infant and toddler supervisor.
Referrals are accepted from any source, including the families themselves and all services are confidential and at no cost to the family. Referrals can be made by calling the 330-965-7912.
