Conaway, Zatvarnicky honored by Southington OSHP colleagues

SOUTHINGTON

Kristopher J. Conaway has been named Trooper of the Year for 2013 at the Southington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Amy M. Zatvarnicky has earned the Telecommunications Award.

Fellow officers stationed at the Southington Post chose Conaway based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public, said Lt. Brian Holt, post commander.

Conaway joined the patrol in 2007 and has served at the Lebanon and Southington posts. Originally from Mineral Ridge and a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, he served in the Marine Corps.

The selection of dispatcher Zatvarnicky is in recognition of outstanding service during 2013 at the Southington Dispatch Center. Post management and dispatchers chose her based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance.

She joined the patrol in 1998 and has served at the Canfield, Ravenna and Southington dispatch centers.

Originally from Austintown, she is a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. She was named Southington District Dispatcher of the Year in 2012 and later State Dispatcher of the Year.
