Campbell police find marijuana and open containers in car

CAMPBELL

A Youngstown man and woman face drug possession and open container charges, respectively, after being pulled over for a traffic violation.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, city police stopped a car that failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of McCartney Road and Sixth Street.

During the traffic stop, police found two open containers of alcohol in the car, along with a marijuana cigarette.

The driver — later identified as 45-year-old Bernard Hasley, of Oakhill Avenue — was charged with possession of drugs, and also cited for the traffic offense.

His passenger — 30-year-old Marilynn N. Tubbs, of Gluck Street — was charged with having open containers in the car.

Both Hasley and Tubbs are set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
