Chevy Cruze has best-ever November sales

Sales of the Chevrolet Cruze rose last month, breaking a three-month slide and marking the best-ever November sales for the Lordstown-manufactured compact car.

General Motors on Tuesday said Cruze sales hit 18,200 last month, a 8.3 percent increase from 2012. Retail deliveries of the compact car were up 39 percent.

Tuesday’s positive report broke a streak of declining year-over-year sales dating back to August. In September, Cruze sales were down 50 percent from that time last year, marking an all-time low for the vehicle.

GM sold 145,089 Chevrolet models last month, up 12.6 percent from last year, and sales across all of GM’s brands rose 13.7 percent to 212,060.
