Cleveland airport seeks abstract art from NE Ohioans

CLEVELAND

Cleveland’s airport wants to become a showcase for abstract artists from northeast Ohio.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is soliciting abstract works by artists in the region to be displayed at its public concourse and ticketing areas.

The deadline for artist submissions is today.

The airport says two-dimensional works — including paintings, oils, photography and drawings — will be displayed for up to six months beginning Feb. 1.

Artists whose works are accepted won’t get paid but will get installation and curator help.
