Mary Olive, daughter of Susan and James Olive of Weathersfield, passed the Virginia State Bar in July and will take the oath of fidelity before the Supreme Court of Virginia in Richmond on Wednesday.

Olive majored in environmental science and graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University.

She received her juris doctorate and master’s degree in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School in May 2013.

She resides in Washington, D.C., and is interning with U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Avon.
