MYCAP Workforce Development Program is Thursday

Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership has scheduled two informational sessions on its Workforce Development Program from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at its Youngstown office, 1325 Fifth Ave.

The six-week Workforce Development Program is for adults 18 and older who are seeking employment but lack the necessary skills that employers seek.

The class teaches participants basic computer instruction, how to work together, how to develop a resume and cover letter, and where to search for employment.

The informational sessions provide an overview of what is covered in the class and what is expected from each participant.

The next Workforce Development class is scheduled to begin Sept. 23. A class requirement is attendance at one of the informational sessions. For information or to register, call Kim at 330-747-7921, ext. 1190.
