Canfield Fair truck, tractor pull is best in nation

For the past 14 years, Rick Humphries and Mel Miller of Orwell have made their way to the Canfield Fair for what they consider to be the best truck and tractor pull in the nation.

“I like the horse power and the diesel smoke,” Miller said.

The Truck and Tractor Pull put on by Full Pull Productions and the National Tractors Pulling Association is one Canfield Fair event that brings out thousands with ear plugs in hand, ready to watch tractors and trucks with all sorts of engines pull thousands of pounds up to 300 feet. Pulling 300 feet is consider a “full-pull”; anything less doesn’t cut it.

“People want to be at the 300-foot line,” said Craig Myers, fair board member. “That’s where all the action happens.”
