Intruder shoots two dogs, takes TV and gun

YOUNGSTOWN

A South Side man said someone broke into his home in the 700 block of East Judson Avenue Thursday afternoon and shot two of dogs, killing one.

Police were called to the home just after 4 p.m. and when they arrived the homeowner’s girlfriend said her boyfriend had taken the wounded dog to a veterinarian. Police followed a series of blood spots to the kitchen, where they found a dead terrier lying on the floor in a large pool of blood and three 9mm shell casings.

Taken was a large screen television and a 9mm handgun. The master bedroom was also ransacked, reports said

There was no word on if the other dog survived.
