Sheely’s Furniture and Second Harvest pair to feed the hungry

Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance, located at 11450 South Avenue in North Lima, is helping feed hungry families in the Mahoning Valley on Labor Day.

Anyone who drops off a donation of non-perishable food items will receive a $100.00 coupon to be used that day on a purchase of $1,000.00 or more.

“We are grateful to Sheely’s for their continued support of the Food Bank through this annual food drive to help feed our hungry friends and neighbors,” said Michael Iberis, executive director of the Second Harvest Food Bank, which will receive the donations. “We are filling more than 15,000 requests for emergency food assistance each week in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, and every can of food makes a difference.”

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributes food to 153 hunger relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
