Police found 128 pills on a man they say served a prison sentence and is a member of the LSP street gang after pulling over his motorcycle about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Market Street and Delason Avenue on the South Side.

James K. Neail, 29, was arraigned Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court for the charge of possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, and several traffic charges, including a driving under suspension charges.

A police report noted Neail has more than 20 open suspensions on his license. His bond was set at $10,000.

Neail was pulled over for making a turn before coming to a complete stop at an intersection and acted very nervous, reports said. An officer found the pills in two separate bags in his pocket. Neail told the officer the pills were prescription painkillers. He was taken to the Mahoning County jail.

Federal court records show Neail was one of several people indicted in 2011 for being a member of LSP, which stands for LaClede, Sherwood, Parkview and Princeton avenues in the Idora Neighborhood on the South Side, where the gang was active between 2003 and 2011.

Court records show Neail was sentenced to 33 months in prison on drug distribution charges. Police said he was just recently released.
