Arson destroys Bott Street home in Youngstown

Fire reports say arson is the cause of a blaze that destroyed a 2322 Bott St. home about 12:25 a.m. today.

Reports said the house was allowed to burn down because the fire was already too involved when crews arrived. The fire appeared to have started in an attached garage and spread to the rest of the house, reports said.

Reports said a neighbor told firefighters the home has been vacant for several years. Damage is listed at $3,000. No one was injured.
