Immaculate Conception Church and school, 811 and 810 Oak St., were sold at a weekend auction by Jeff Byce of ByceAuction and Realty.
Stephen Malutic of Campbell, a real estate investor, bought the properties for $47,300. He declined to comment on how the buildings might be used.
Byce said there were five registered bidders among the large crowd of onlookers.
The historic bells at the church and school recently were removed and relocated to St. Angeli Merici Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive. Sacred Heart and Immaculate Conception merged Jan. 9, 2011, and the last Mass at Immaculate Conception was Jan. 30, 2011. Stained glass windows with sacred images also were removed.
