A motorcycle traveling westbound on Route 224 collided with a car Saturday, sending the male driver to St. Elizabeth Health Center, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 4 p.m. when the driver of car a turning left into the Mill Creek Park entrance reported that she failed to see the motorcycle approaching her.

The driver of the motorcycle was later released, and the car’s driver was ticketed for the incident.

Four police cruisers were dispatched to the city’s North Side about 11 a.m. Sunday after a neighbor reported a violent argument that broke out in the street between a man and a woman.

When police arrived at 2230 Ohio Avenue, they found Cameron E. Dyer, 27, of Youngstown, with a bite mark on his arm, scratches on his face, chest and stomach and a laceration on his forearm, according to a report filed by Youngstown Police Officer Barry Ervin.

Jasmond McCoy, 23, of Warren, was stabbing at Dyer with the knife when she cut his forearm, officers determined. An ambulance arrived to treat him on the scene.

McCoy was arrested on a felonious-assault charge, and Dyer was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants.

Motorcyclist airlifted

A man was airlifted by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center on Sunday after the motorcycle he was driving veered off the road and flipped, ejecting him, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

At the time, the man was not wearing a helmet and authorities do not yet know what caused the crash, which occurred about 6 p.m.

The victim’s name was not released and his condition was unclear late Sunday.
