Man eludes police after taken to St. E's

YOUNGSTOWN — An Ohio Avenue man who told police the mother of his child stabbed him following an argument early Sunday afternoon fled from St. Elizabeth Health Center before he could be treated, reports said.

Cameron Dyer, 27, said the woman stabbed him at his 2230 Ohio Ave. home about 12:30 p.m. following a tirade after he asked her to leave.

Reports said she admitted stabbing Dyer and police found a blood-stained knife near a window, reports said. Jasmond McCoy, 23, of Warren, was arrested for the charge of felonious assault and taken to jail.

Dyer was sought on a warrant. He was to be taken to the hospital to be treated before he was taken to jail, but he ran to a car in the parking lot, reports said.
