Police say a house at 403 Rebecca St. is full of human waste and trash, and the city is requesting that the Trumbull County Health Department inspect it.

A report on the house’s condition was faxed to the health department Monday, a police report indicates.

Police entered the house late the night of Aug. 13 because someone reported they thought a burglar was entering through an open door. They did not find a burglar, but they did find a house that they believe is uninhabitable, the report says.

Police said the house was filled with a heavy odor of urine and human waste.

They found large jars of urine, piles of animal and human waste in the basement, jars of urine on the porch, and garbage and the smell of human waste in the garage, the report says.

The walls were full of large holes, and electrical wiring was ripped out. The breaker box is missing, and all pipes and wiring in the basement are gone, the report says.

An elderly woman left the home in February, said a neighbor, Bob Ryhal.

The woman’s grandson also lived there, but has been in the Trumbull County jail since Aug. 13, police said.

Ryhal said that other than high grass, he never had any problems with the house.
