The Youngstown Chapter of Links Inc. is sponsoring a Black Diamonds breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 12 in celebration of black men. The event will take place at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., and the cost will be $30 per person.

The Links Inc. is a women’s volunteer service organization that for 65 years has helped to enrich the lives of black people.

Awards will be given in three categories: Diamond Chips for ages 10 to 17, Rough Diamonds for ages 18 to 39 and Polished Diamonds for ages 40 and over.

The community is invited to submit nominees. Forms are available on the chapter website at youngstownlinksinc.org. The deadline is Sept. 13.

The event is a fundraiser for the Links scholarship fund and facet programs.

The facets are health and wellness, international trends, national trends, services to youth and the arts.

Tickets may be purchased at Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que Restaurant or from any member of the Youngstown Chapter of Links. Sponsorships and program advertising also are available.
