Humility of Mary Health Partners Foundation 16th annual nursing scholarship awards dinner took place recently to honor individuals who are pursuing careers in nursing.

Members of the nursing and administrative staffs of HMHP and the staff of HMHP Foundation select scholarship recipients.

HMHP employees and their families’ scholarships are funded from an endowment created through the Helen C. Hageman Memorial Fund, the John and Loretta Hynes Foundation, the medical staff of St. Elizabeth Health Center, the John and Lillian Newman Nursing Scholarship Fund and the Mary Agnes Powers Nursing Fund.

Under this program master’s degree candidates recognized are Heidi Alflen, Cynthia Andrews, Cynthia Bishop, Kellie Durner, Elizabeth Ghioldi, Rhonda Gluckner, Daniel Ludwig, Jodi Micsky, Melia Roth and Barbra Turner. Bachelor’s degree candidates recognized are Thomas Finnerty, Meghan Ghizzoni, Shayna Glista, Darlene Halloran, Leanna Huffman, Michelle Klucher, Lindsay Mitchell, Richard Morrow and Patricia Stafford.

Scholarship winners include:

• Mended Hearts: Megan Murray.

• Italian Scholarship League: Aulanna Armour, Samantha Channell, Lindsay Kelley and Jennifer Prezioso.

• Wolves Club of Youngstown: Lacey Holbrook, Caroline Lucariello and Rachel Stanko.

• John and Lillian Newman Nursing Scholarships: Donna Blue and Kristen Rossetti.

• Kay M. Hunt Memorial Nursing Scholarship: Devin Ferrell.

• HMHP Foundation Scholarship: Alissa Rusu and Tamira Templin.

• HMHP Board of Directors: Lorraine Coalmer and Brianna Cramb.

Mercy College of Ohio also awarded scholarships. Recipients follow:

• Fifth Third Scholarship: Lucariello, Laura Mickey, Murray, Rossetti and Stanko.

• Mary Rosanne Creedon Scholarship: Rusu and Templin.

• Florence Burke Scholarship: Jessica Flaugher.

• Mercy College General Fund Scholarship: Samantha Mirto.

Since the original nursing scholarship program began in 1998, 377 scholarships totaling $716,400 have been awarded to students pursuing an associate, bachelor, master or doctorate degree in nursing or health care administration.
