v Ballyhoo Music Festival, 5 to 11 p.m.: The event at Biketown Harley Davidson, 5700 Interstate Blvd., Austintown, features headliner Unsaid Fate at 9 p.m. and continues from 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday with Midlife Chryslers with Michael Stanley and Marc Lee at 8. v Lanterman’s Mill art show, 1 to 5 p.m.: The event opens and continues to Sunday at the mill at Mill Creek MetroParks, 1001 Canfield Road, Youngstown.

v Roxfest, 5 p.m.: The rock music festival, with more than 20 bands playing, will be staged at Buffalo Hollow amphitheater, 51367 Dickson Road, Petersburg. The festival opens at noon Saturday.

v “Rabbit Hole,” 7:30 p.m.: The play will be staged in Augustine Auditorium at New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa. Tickets: 724-654-3437. Other shows are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

v "King Kong,” 9 p.m.: The 1933 movie will be screened at Yellow Creek Ampitheater, 311 S. Main St., Poland. Look out ... what’s that in the trees?

“TANKED” (9 p.m., ANIMAL PLANET): The celebrity-themed episode is called “Lifestyles of the Fish and Famous.” That title alone is enough to get us to take the bait.

“VENUS AND SERENA” (9 p.m., SHOWTIME): The U.S. Tennis Association sued to have this documentary about the game’s greatest sister act banned because it contains scenes “not in the best interest of the sport.” That, of course, makes us want to see it even more. The film is touted as an “unfiltered” look into the lives of the iconic Williams siblings, who faced long odds and broke ground in a sport that wasn’t always welcoming.

“SAY YES TO THE DRESS” (8 p.m., TLC): In the interest of politeness, you really ought to say “yes, please.”

“MISS U MUCH,” 9 p.m., VH1: Have you been wondering what original “American Idol” runner-up Justin Guarini has been up to? No? Well, tough — there’s nothing else on.

Ballet Western Reserve plans open house

Youngstown

Ballet Western Reserve, 218 W. Boardman St., will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

BWR also offers training in modern, jazz and tap and adult ballet classes.

For the holiday season, BWR will again present the classic, “The Nutcracker,” on Dec. 6 and 7.

Those interested in being part of the production can register for fall classes at balletwesternreserve.org.

Virginia Hartman is artistic director of BWR, a nonprofit school, and just completed her second year.

She grew up in Boardman and trained at BWR.
