Fred Kubli Jr. will receive the William Clayman Community Pride Award Thursday from the Niles Area Business Council.

The Clayman Award, named for William Clayman, who was long-time prominent industrialist with Niles Iron and Metal, recognizes business ethics, professionalism, character, integrity and service above and beyond, community outreach, leadership and volunteerism, and commitment to the Niles area.

Kubli, 93, has been involved over the years with the Friends of the McKinley Library, Shepherd of the Valley Board of Directors, Board of the Niles CIC and Civil Service

Commission, Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority, Niles Historical Society Board of Trustees, Boy Scouts and numerous other organizations and causes in the Valley with his wife Laverne.
