First-day YSU enrollment dips 3.4 percent compared to last year

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University enrollment for the first day of fall semester is down 3.4 percent from the same time last year.

The first day of school is today. On the first day last year, enrollment was 13,811 students — compared to 13,336 today.

The number is expected to fluctuate before it is finalized on the 14th day of classes, said Ron Cole, university spokesman.
