BOARDMAN

A 43-year-old Boardman man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, two drug charges and having a fictitious license plate following a traffic stop.

Boardman Township Police pulled over William Whistler, 7239 Glendale Ave., when the officer found his license plate did not match the vehicle discription at 10:46 a.m. Monday, according to a police report. Inside the vehicle they found a “Billy Club” and prescription pills that were prescribed to another person. Whistler told the officer that he had marijuana in his pocket.
