Dunn: YSU faces deficit, enrollment drop but is poised for fture growth
YOUNGSTOWN — Randy Dunn, Youngstown State University's eighth president, said the state of the university is challenging for today but hopeful for the future.
In his first State of the University Address this morning, Dunn told the campus community the university is faced with a $1.9 million deficit for the just-ended fiscal year 2013.
The university expects another enrollment drop this fall, the third in as many years. Although the exact percentage is unknown it will be higher than the 1 percent decline YSU planned for, Dunn said.
