The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral was the setting of the June 1 wedding of Kelly Elizabeth Meehan and Michael Edward Doig, both of New York City. The Rev. Jonathan Morris officiated. The couple were honored at a reception at The W Hotel Union Square.

Parents of the couple are James and Susan Meehan of Poland and Dorothy and Robert Doig of Los Angeles.

The bride wore an ivory silk sheath with a cathedral length veil accented with lace. The veil was worn by the bride’s mother on her wedding day.

Claire Anderberg was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were K.C. Doig, the groom’s sister; Kathryn Nussbaum; Sarah Wieber; and Rose Zeidler. The attendants wore dusty shale colored gowns.

The groom’s brother, David Doig, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were James Meehan Jr., the bride’s brother; Joe Hoover; and Kyle Wenzel.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College. She is studying for her master’s degree in speech language pathology at Nova Southeastern University in Miami.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Hawaii and a master’s degree from Pace University. He works for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Miami.

After a wedding trip to Ireland and Scotland, the couple reside in Miami.
