First Night staff needed for event

First Night Youngstown is seeking event staffers to handle duties at downtown venues on New Year’s Eve. Staff receive a small monetary stipend. A mandatory training session will be in November. Shift start times will vary depending on the venue, but none will end later than 10 p.m., giving staff an opportunity to enjoy the remaining festivities and fireworks. Dodgeball tourney

Deadline to register for the 2013 Allegiant Air “Dodge High Fares” Dodgeball League Tournament has been extended to Tuesday. The tournament is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Girard High School gymnasium, 1244 Shannon Road. Entry fee is $100 per team of six to 10 co-ed players. Players must be 18 or older. Half of all registration fees will go to the winning team’s charity of choice. The remaining funds will be donated to the Youngstown Air Reserve Station Friends of Families.
