SJIHM receives donation

The Home Builders Association of the Mahoning Valley built a handicap ramp at St. Joseph and Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Austintown on Aug. 7.

This project is a complete donation of time and talent. The HBA is providing all of the labor, Carter Lumber provided all of the materials and ARA Home Remodeling is providing all of the equipment.

“Eagle Al” Alexander, the Chairman of the Remodelers Council, said that the HBA seeks to complete at least one community project per year. After reviewing a host of possible projects, the board decided on the SJIHM ramp because it will be so valuable to the school.

“We are grateful that we have an opportunity to help,” said Alexander.

Molly Faloon, the SJIHM parent responsible for contacting the HBA, thanked them for their generosity.
