Junior Fair Board shares plans

YOUNGSTOWN

Two members from the Canfield Junior Fair Advisory Board, Jessica Miletta and Sara Mendenhall, met with Kiwanis Club of Youngstown members at the Youngstown YMCA on Aug. 2 to share important fair events and activities scheduled for this year.

The fair will include Youth Day, livestock sales and the daily publication of the Junior Fair Round Up.

Each junior fair member will serve at least 15 hours at the fair between Aug. 28 and Sept. 2.

Select members are offered an opportunity to compete for college scholarships that will be awarded at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 29.

A king and queen will be crowned during Youth Day.

Interested members who want to be considered for the scholarships and crowns must apply and be interviewed.
