Canfield places second

The Canfield boys golf team placed second at the Warren JFK Invitational Aug. 10. The team scored a total of 324.

Top performers for the Cardinals were Dominic Carano (72), Vince Leone (79), Jarret Vrabel (86) and Charlie Loomis (87). Carano placed second individually.

Fall is on its way and your young athletes are ready to compete. Whether it’s tennis, golf, soccer, volleyball or football, Neighbors wants to share the successes of your teams and athletes.

Canfield cheer camp set

The Canfield High School cheerleaders will sponsor the Canfield cheer camp Aug. 20-22 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Canfield High School gymnasium.

The cost is $7 per day. For more information, call 330-533-3303.

Meet the team

The Canfield Football Teamm will have a steak fry/meet the team Aug. 24 from noon to 6 p.m. in the Canfield High School cafeteria.

The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Kid under 4 are free. Cost includes steak, potatoes, corn, salad, rolls, bread, dessert and beverage. Walk ins are welcome and carry out is available.

In addition, there will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and T-shirt sales.
