Salvation Army to distribute school supplies Friday

YOUNGSTOWN

The Salvation Army Mahoning County Area Services will distribute backpacks and school supplies to 450 pre-registered needy children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the organization’s headquarters, 1501 Glenwood Ave.

The back-packs and school supplies will be provided free of charge to children of pre-registered families/individuals who are at, or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, with children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
