Weathersfield trustees seek state funds for road project


MINERAL RIDGE — Weathersfield Township trustees will apply for state funding for a safety upgrade and repaving program on Warner Road from Niles-Carver Road to Chestnut Street.

David Rouan, township administrator, will apply for a 69 percent grant, or $74,938, through the 2014 State Capital Improvement Program and the Local Transportation Improvement Program through the Ohio Public Works Commission.

The local share will be 31 percent, which will be $33,667, and include $25,667 from the township and $8,000 in in-kind engineering and construction supervision from the Trumbull County Engineer’s office.
