A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown:

CANFIELD

July 16

Graffiti: Obscene graffiti was spray-painted on a garage door at a home in the 200 block of Sawmill Run Road.

July 25

Theft: A purse was stolen from an auto at a home in the 200 block of Carriage Lane.

Aug. 7

Warrant: James Cline, 40, of 938 Prospect St., Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear.

Aug. 8

Warrant: Pamela George, 47, of 400 Locust Ave., Akron, was arrested on an active warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Drug abuse: Charity Riggs, 19, of 141 Louis Ave., Louisville, was arrested on charges of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Warrant: Frank Consiglio, 20, of 3900 Mercedes Place, Canfield, was arrested on a warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Aug. 9

Drug abuse: Derryus Hicks, 26, of 2300 Penny Lane, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse.

Drug abuse: Ralph Maloy, 42, of 3000 Meadow Lane, Warren, was arrested on an active warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Aug. 5

Warrant: Bradley Salus, 35, of 106 N. Osborne Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for complicity to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Drug offense: David Daniels, 20, of 52 Oneata Ave., Youngstown, was issued two summonses for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Unknown medications were stolen from Sheetz Gas Station, 4999 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated robbery: A man with a handgun took a bank deposit from a female in the parking lot of Huntington Bank, 1732 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Medication, cash and sunglasses were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: An employee, Sharry Pack, 45, of 150 Chambers St., Campbell was issued a summons for theft of over $600 in merchandise at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Carlisle Avenue.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls were received at a home in the 1000 block of N. Beverly Avenue.

Fraud: A loan scam for $1,180 was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Drug offense: Antwain Mayes, 23, of 111 N. Navarre Ave., was issued two summonses, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 6

Theft: An iPod and cash were stolen at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted text messages were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Aug. 7

Theft: A television and PlayStation were not returned to the owner at a home in the 600 block of Duke Circle.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls and texts were reported at a home in the 400 block of E. Radio Road.

Theft: Lacey Livermore, 23, of 4227 Carlisle Ave., was arrested on a charge of theft.

Theft: An employee stole food at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 2012 Toyota Ava was stolen at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 4908 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Janet Clay, 46, of 1077 Eastway Drive, Youngstown, was released on a summons charging theft of $50 worth of socks at Marc’s,4755 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: George Adams, 38, of 132 Matta Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a probation violation, on an original charge of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Crystal Frye, 30, of 1015 Fifth St., Struthers, was released on a summons on a charge of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Four DVDs were stolen by an unidentified male at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Louis Starcher, 30, of 2990 E. River Road, Newton Falls, was arrested on a warrant for robbery.

Aug. 8

Warrant: Ira Rihel, 31, of 3828 Forest Ridge Court, Mineral Ridge, was arrested on a warrant charging theft at Rainbow Shops, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: An HP laptop, Panasonic Camcorder and an iPod were taken from a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive.

Theft: An iPhone was taken at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Theft: Doris Cramer, 56, of 2359 Watson-Marshall Road, McDonald, was issued a summons for theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A credit card was stolen at RAEARC Industries, 80 Westchester Drive.

Domestic violence: Tyrone Fears, 63, of 2308 Birch Trace Drive, was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Breaking and entering: A concession stand was broken into at College Park Baseball Field, 5706 Vassar Ave.

Obstructing official business: Danielle Long was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business.

Attempted burglary: Entry was not gained but items were damaged at a home in the 30 block of Howard Ave.

Menacing: There is a suspect in a case of menacing at a home in the 3000 block of S. Inglewood Avenue.

Aug. 9

Assault: Joy Saadey-Minenok, 54, of 2590 Raccoon Road, was arrested on an assault charge.

Lost wallet: A woman lost her wallet at First Place Bank, 101 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: Eric Cappy, 29, of 225 Aldrich Ave., was arrested on a warrant for criminal damaging.

Theft: Ashley Newland, 20, of 3656 Mercedes Place, Canfield, was issued a summons for theft of $115.91 in clothing at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Disorderly conduct: Douglas Jones, 31, of 849 Dryden Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Aug. 10

Recovered property: An Ohio license was recovered at A Shear Success, 108 Javitt Court.

Theft: Golf clubs and CDs were stolen from an auto at a home in the 100 block of N. Yorkshire Blvd.

Disorderly conduct: Jeremiah Long, 38, of 4813 Westchester Drive, No. 220, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen from Austintown Middle School, 800 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Aug. 11

Disorderly conduct: James Cysewski, 21, of 3124 Meanderwood Drive, Canfield, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Burglary: A window was damaged and a purse taken at a home in the 100 block of Atlanta Ave.

Menacing: Threats were made at the drive-thru at Arby’s, 701 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Breaking and entering: Tools were stolen from Apollo Auto Sales, 1164 N. Meridian Road.

Personal injury: A dog bite was reported in the 3000 block of DeHoff Drive.

Recovered property: Chevrolet car keys were recovered at Aurie Drive and New Road.

Drug offense: Thomas Poyssick, 38, of 92 N. Turner Road, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
