Dog Rescue to host poker run and rodeo

CORTLAND

Legacy Dog Rescue will host a Poker Run and Bike Rodeo at Pooch’s, 2242 Greenville Road, beginning at 11 a.m. Aug. 17.

The first vehicle will leave at 1 p.m., and all are due at Pooch’s by 5 p.m.

Dinner will be served at 4 and rodeo games begin at 6.

The cost per person is $10 and includes dinner.

Musical entertainment will be at 7 p.m. with The Rivers Own, a local Youngstown band, and the John Michael Band.

Local vendors will be available at 10 a.m. A basket auction, 50-50 raffle and other activities are planned.

Space is available for camping after the event.

All proceeds will be used to assist the abused, abandoned and neglected dogs of Trumbull and Mahoning counties.
