“Help and Healing on the Spiritual Path Through the Teachings of Bruno Groening” will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 S. Broad St.

The session is taking place at, but is not affiliated with, the church.

The 90-minute lecture is sponsored by the Circle for Spiritual Aid to Life, based on the teachings of Groening, a German healer and teacher.

The free information lecture is about 90 minutes.

Waterfire Sharon photo contest

SHARON, Pa.

WaterFire Sharon is having a photo contest concerning its inaugural event Aug. 3. Attendees are invited to post photos they took of the event to the Waterfire Sharon Facebook or Twitter pages by Tuesday. Winners, who will be announced Aug. 23, will receive a WaterFire souvenir T-shirt and a souvenir from Wendell August Forge.

Event organizers estimated some 35,000 people attended the event, during which wood-burning torches illuminated the Shenango River at sundown during a daylong downtown Sharon art and culture festival. Additional Waterfire Sharon events will be Sept. 14 and Oct. 12. More information about Waterfire Sharon can be found at www.waterfiresharonpa.org.

Antique-car show

Boardman

Vista Center of Boardman, 830 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host its second annual Antique Car Show/Cobra Car Cruise, Corn Roast and Family Picnic from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. All classic-car owners are invited. First-, second- and third-place awards will be given. Car registration is free.

A corn roast, picnic food and refreshments will be free for guests. Entertainment will be provided by the Dickey White Band. Vista Center residents and their families, as well as the center’s staff, will participate and be judges for the competition.
