Submit your Waterfire Sharon photos for a prize

SHARON, Pa.

WaterFire Sharon is having a photo contest concerning its inaugural event Aug. 3.

Attendees are invited to post photos they took of the event to the Waterfire Sharon Facebook or Twitter pages by Tuesday.

Winners, who will be announced Aug. 23, will receive a WaterFire souvenir T-shirt and a souvenir from Wendell August Forge.

Event organizers estimated some 35,000 people attended the Aug. 3 event, during which wood-burning torches illuminated the Shenango River at sundown during a daylong downtown Sharon art and culture festival.

Additional Waterfire Sharon events will be Sept. 14 and Oct. 12. More information about Waterfire Sharon can be found at www.waterfiresharonpa.org.
