Rizer-Ferber engagement is announced

Kathleen Rizer of Canfield and Robert and Julie Rizer of Poland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Taryn Christine Rizer, and Karl Francis Ferber, both of Painesville, Ohio.

Susan Ferber of Greenwich, Ohio, is the mother of the future groom.

The couple are planning a 2 p.m. open wedding Sept. 28 at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.

Miss Rizer earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University. She is a clinical research specialist for MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Mr. Ferber earned a degree in criminal justice from Ohio State University.
