Humane society will offer open house

The Humane Society of Columbiana County will sponsor an open house for the new Animal Resource Complex, 721 E. Pidgeon Road.

It will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17.

The complex will provide climate controlled indoor walking, poochie playtimes, dog friendly events, private parties, dog training and services and a retail area with T-shirts and dog essentials.

Pet and animal services from the community will be available to promote their organizations.

A free poochie playtime will take place from 5:30 to 6 p.m. for small dogs and from 7 to 8 p.m. for large dogs. Proof of vaccinations and rabies must be provided as well as spaying or neutering to participate. No exceptions.
