Rotary will host annual duck race

Struthers Rotary will host its annual Duck Race on Aug. 17 at Yellow Creek Park on Lowellville Road.

Each duck will be numbered; the first 13 will win cash prizes.

First place will receive $500; second place, $200; and third place, $100. The next ten ducks will win $20 each.

There also will be a 50-50 raffle.

To purchase a duck ticket for $5, contact any member of the Struthers Rotary.

Tickets may also be purchased the day of the race.

Proceeds will support community projects of the Struthers Rotary, including a Christmas party for special-needs children; literacy projects in Campbell, Lowellville, Struthers and St. Nicholas schools; Struthers High School Interact Club; Struthers Baseball League; Boy Scouts, Struthers Historical Society and the Fourth of July Parade.
