Antique truck show set for Aug. 16 and 17

YOUNGSTOWN

Cerni Motors and the Antique Truck Club of America will sponsor an antique truck show from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 16 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17 at Cerni Motors, 5751 Cerni Place.

The event is open to the public. Guests are requested to take at least one nonperishable food item to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

Cerni Motors hopes to fill three large barrels for the food bank. Items most needed include peanut butter, cereal, canned vegetables, tuna fish, dry pasta, canned soup, and macaroni and cheese.

There will be food, vendors, contests for the loudest “jake brake” and air horns of some of the biggest and baddest trucks. Dyno testing will be provided throughout the event, and flame thrower stacks will begin at dark on Friday evening.
