Youngstown police investigate stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing about 11 p.m. Tuesday at 481 Alameda Ave.

Police were called to St. Elizabeth Health Center for a report of a stabbing victim. A woman there told police that Anthony Carter, 47, was her husband and he was cut by a piece of glass in the chest as he tried to get inside the home while they were arguing. However, police later determined that Carter was stabbed after an officer asked doctors treating him if he could have received the wound from glass. Police said Wednesday morning they are investigating and Carter’s wife and another person were interviewed by detectives.
