The Salem International Festival, also known as the I’Fest, will be from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday with the theme of “Celebrating Your Heritage.”

A pre-fest warm up and workout will include Silver Sneakers and Zumba demonstrations at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave.

Other entertainment and events will be hosted in the municipal lots off of Pershing and Penn avenues in downtown Salem.

They will include a welcome and opening ceremony from noon to 12:15 p.m.; Jason Alan Magic Show from 12:15 to 1; Attila Samu and high school choir singers as well as a chalk drawing contest from 1 to 1:30; a performance by the dance group Art in Motion, exploring the theme of family, from 1:30 to 2; performances from Salem Community Theatre’s “Hairspray,” a tae kwon do demonstration, and singing from the duo Sweet Sorrows, from 2 to 4; a “Meet the Quakers” teams’ pep rally from 4 to 5:15; a grande parade through downtown Salem from 6 to 7:15; a performance from the Mainstreet Lions rock band, sponsored by the City of Salem, from 7:15 to 9:30; and taped music and a 50-50 Drawing from 9:30 to 10.

Ten food vendors, table displays, a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, dunk tank, international display of nations, basket and silent auctions and a 50-50 raffle will also be offered.
