Historic Bolotin Furniture store in Hermitage is closing
HERMITAGE, Pa. — A Hermitage landmark store is closing after being opened for more than a century.
Bolotin Furniture will close once the store is able to sell its inventory. It was founded in 1906 by Simon Bolotin and has remained family owned since with four generations of Bolotins running the store.
Mark Bolotin said today the decision to close the store was based on a few factors. One was that there was not another generation ready to take over operation. The second factor was age.
“My children have never lived here. My wife and I moved back seven years ago,” Mark Bolotin said. “My children have already got careers.”
