State troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Canfield Post issued warrants for Jesse Lewis, 20, who ran from a traffic stop Monday morning.

A spokesman for the patrol said a car Lewis, of Youngstown, was driving and pulled over about 10 a.m. on Interstate 680 heading north near the Midlothian Boulevard exit, and Lewis drove away from a trooper. Lewis led troopers and Youngstown officers on a short chase to Shady Run Road on the South Side, where he abandoned the car and ran away on foot.

The spokesman said Lewis was wanted on warrants for burglary and breaking and entering. Youngstown police officers and troopers searched for him for an hour but could not find him. He remained at large late Monday night. Two men in the car with Lewis were released at the scene, the spokesman said.
