University of Cincinnati selling president's residence

CINCINNATI (AP) — Want to live like you’re a major-college president? The University of Cincinnati is offering that chance: for about $2.25 million.

The school is selling its president’s residence, a 5,700-square-foot condominium with three bedrooms, seven balconies and grand views of the Ohio River and Cincinnati. And if you’re not going to use a limo, there are four parking spaces.

When Santa Ono was promoted from provost to president last year, he remained in his home with his wife and their two daughters. He proposed selling the presidential residence this year, with the proceeds going to an endowment fund for scholarships. What’s called University House has been the school’s presidential residence since 2004.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that a real-estate agent says he has shown the residence multiple times.
