Orders accepted Thursday for Smart Choice Food program

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice Food from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to noon Aug. 12.

The Ohio Direction card will be accepted both days. Boxes range in price from $18 to $38 and include meat, vegetables, convenience meals, kids box, sausage box, grill box and pork-chop box. A special deep-dish pepperoni pizza box is available for $13 with the purchase of any other box.

Each $38 box will include a free 1- to 2-pound protein item.

Online specials at www.smartchoicefood.com can be ordered on the website or at the church.

There are no income restrictions or guidelines. Mail-in orders will be accepted with payment of postal or bank money order or certified check to New Hope Church. Payment and orders must be received before Friday.

To receive a receipt, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Online ordering at www.smartchoicefood.com will close Aug. 14. A 3 percent handling fee will be added to all online orders.

Distribution is from 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 24. At that time, a community breakfast will be served from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
