Veterinary degree

Sarah Lynn Crawford has earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Ohio State University.

She is the daughter of Bernice and Donald Piecuch of Austintown and John Crawford of Columbus. Her paternal grandmother, Leta Crawford, lives in Struthers, and her maternal grandmother, Julia Stanislaw, lives in Austintown.

She is a 2005 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, where she was a member of National Honor Society and class valedictorian. She earned a summa cum laude bachelor of science degree, majoring in zoology, from OSU in 2009.

Dr. Crawford completed internships in Warsaw, N.Y., and Virginia Beach, Va. She completed a study-abroad program in Costa Rica and traveled to Italy and Greece. Dr. Crawford also finished internship and residency programs at the OSU veterinary hospital and its associated clinics.

She is a veterinarian at the Countryside Veterinary Clinics of Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.

Psychiatry practice

Kristine Marinelli Packo, daughter of Joe and Jane Marinelli, has completed her psychiatry residency at Akron General Hospital and is a psychiatrist with Summa Health System in Hudson, Ohio.

Dr. Packo is a 2002 Cardinal Mooney High School graduate. She received a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in 2005 and her doctorate of medicine degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2009.
