IN THE CUP! Area holes-in-one

Justin Meserve of Boardman aced the 132-yard No. 7 at Rolling Hills Golf Course on June 15. He used a sand wedge. Witnesses were Richard Houston, Skip Rubeis and Bill Mancino.

Jeff Blais of Liberty aced the 144-yard No. 8 at Walnut Run Golf Course on July 28. He used a pitching wedge. Nick Vanoverbeke witnessed the shot. Blais has made three holes-in-one this year, including an earlier ace on No. 11 at Walnut Run.

D.J. Bandy of East Palestine aced the 181-yard No. 9 at East Palestine Country Club on Aug. 1. Bandy was participating in the first day of practice for East Palestine High School’s golf team. Witnesses were Drew Wilson, Colin Reidy and Bulldogs coach Bob Hall.

Bob Kolar of Canfield aced the 130-yard No. 6 at Bedford Trails Golf Course on July 29. He used a 7-iron. Witnesses were Bruce Robinson, George Skebo and Corkie Prusak.
