W. Pa. man, 84, killed when tractor rolls over
BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has died after the tractor he was using to mow his property overturned.
The Beaver County coroner says 84-year-old Charles Rall died of head and abdominal injuries he suffered about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Rall, who celebrated his birthday just last week, lived in Brighton Township, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
Township police say Rall drove the tractor too close to a 6-foot drop-off, causing the vehicle to roll onto the road next to it. Police believe Rall was discovered shortly after the tractor overturned because the vehicle was still running. A passing motorist spotted the overturned tractor and called 911.
