Poland Rotary to host car show

The Poland Rotary will host the fourth annual car show Aug. 11 from 3-6 p.m. at Poland United Methodist Church.

The show will include fire trucks, police cars, classic Chevys and Ford Sunliner convertibles. In addition, there will be food, a DJ and fun for all.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Poland Firemen’s Association and the Poland Township Police Department.

“Poland Rotary is proud to show its continuing support for our safety forces by raising money to assist the fire department in its training programs and the township police department’s police dog program,” Matt Bodine, car show chair, said.

There is a $5 registration fee for show vehicles and prizes will be awarded. Admission is free to the public. In the case of rain, the event will be moved to Aug. 14 from 6-9 p.m.

The church is located at 1940 Boardman-Poland Road.
