Amanda McAuley won the 2013 Miss Ohio Teen Top Model Competition on July 1 in Columbus.

McAuley won a $1,000 modeling scholarship to a premier modeling agency, a $250 cash award and is invited to compete in the National Top Model competition in Hollywood, Calif.

She began modeling about two years ago.

“I wanted to further my modeling knowledge so I took classes and graduated from Barbizon to Pro-Model and Talent Management Inc.,” said McAuley.

Throughout the experience, McAuley has learned many things.

“I have learned that it takes a lot of personality and confidence to become really successful in this field,” said McAuley. “Modeling can open up all kinds of new exciting opportunities.”

In the future, McAuley hopes to sign with different modeling agencies.

“I would love the opportunity to travel and meet new people,” said McAuley. “I expect to gain confidence and determination that I can use in the future.”

Donna McAuley, Amanda’s mother said she is very proud of her daughter.

“I love the experience and confidence she came home with from the competition,” said Donna.

Amanda is thankful for her sponsors John Chiaro DPM, Marucci Chiropractic and Wellness, Snips Styling Salon, Hypnosis by Nancy, AllState Ins., Visage Hair Salon and Alprod Porch and Patio, as well as her family, for their support.
